4 years + in office and Obama either hasn't figured out he needs to work with the repubs to get things done or he simply thinks he can get his agenda done without them. Calling them out in a public forum doesn't work for anything other then making this country more divisive.
All these crazy libs know is tax and spend

Please. Like the Republicans want to play in the sandbox. I wish him failure has been their motto.

He is the president and Republicans needs to work with him and not against him.

The voters decided this in 2012 and they will not forget.

    Two errors in this sentence:

"Today the president will travel to Ashville, NC to highlight a Canadian auto parts company that has recently increased it's investment in the U.S. "

That should be 'Asheville', with an e in the middle, and 'its', with no apostrophe.

Would love to know how much the war in Iraq cost and STILL costs us everyday. I know that we paid dearly in American lives for an unneccessary war. Sad, sad, sad.

oh cynthia, still blaming President Bush...shame on you. Your messiah has made a horrible mess of our country's economy and foreign affairs, he is an absolute failure...focus on that for a change. You voted for 'the great poser'. Iran and N Korea is nuking up, North Africa is exploding, and there is no hope for Syria...everything is an obama mess. God help us and the hundreds of thousands who are suffering because you elected a man without a resume and a very big mouth...a narcissist!

HAHAHA! You don't say! I mean you don't say nothing about the housing bubble exploding under Clinton! You don't say nothing about Pelosi doing pretty much nothing during the last 2 Bush years! One thing for sure, you are consistant! Consistantly ignoring yoru beloved Dems and their role in this mess!
Remember Caramon's request that you give credit where credit is due (to the GOP)? We are still waiting!

The CBO estimate is that the long term cost for the Iraq war which started in 2003 will amount to $1.9 Trillion dollar by 2017...the cost for the Iraq and Afghan wars combined will total by 2017 at $2.4 trillion. An economist for the World Bank puts the figure higherdue to the fact the money for these wars is borrowed and interest on debt can fluctuate. He puts the cost at the most modest number at $3. trillion by 2017. Those figures only represent the cost to the United States...it does not represent the cost to other countries, or to the people in the countries of those wars.

So, he wants to go to NC and boast about a foreign company choosing to do buisness here. That is fine, except that he is out to put numerous American manufacturers out of buisness in this state –

Para Ordinance, IO, Tactical Arm, and BUSHMASTER are among the dozens of gun makers in NC – many of whom specialize in AR and AK type arms (since they are the best selling firearms in the country).

Of course, the President loves picking which industry's win and loose, and doesn't care if they are American or not. After all, wasn't the auto bailout about saving GMs American jobs instead of that buisness going to Toyata or Honda in Alabama or South Carolina?

    February 13, 2013 at 10:33 am |
    • DEcember 2012

Oh I am right there with you, playing the smallest violin for these gun manufacturers. They have made record profits and have flooded the markets with their guns. I'm not worried about their welfare. They will find a way to make deadly weapons still. Maybe they can design a deadlier butter knife.

Right, I keep forgetting John is my campaign manager and knows exactly where I stand on these issues. You're fired by the way.

People still talk about Occupy? You are so weird.

        February 13, 2013 at 11:31 am |
      • John

I noticed you didn't say I am wrong.
I am not your campaign manager because I know you couldn't out campaign Obama. That is all he knows. Well, that, and tax and spend.
As far as occupy, you nuts on the left supported it so there is no wonder why you want people to forget about it. You wern't the one who posted support for Obama when he claimed illegal wasn't illegal any more?
So just so we are all clear, you never supported Occupy and you do not support Obama when it comes to illegal immigration? Do we all have that right?
Also, like your fearless leader, you want all people who do not agree with you to just go away. Very inclusive of you crazy libs.

        February 13, 2013 at 11:55 am |
      • DEcember 2012

No John, when you get fired, it is because you did something wrong. In this case, you misrepresented your employee by saying things that are not even true about them.

You are making so really specious arguments about me and then Obama. You claim Obama is for illegal immigrants? How come he deported more illegal immigrants at a rate faster than his predecessor? What does that have to do with my own view of illegals? You seem to have some really silly notions about me. I don't support illegals but I am also a realist, like some Republicans about the situation. Amnesty will happen in some shape or form, whether you like it or not. We need the tax money so we can pay for more border security.

I'm not even going to bother about Occupy. What a dead topic that is. What do they have to do with Obama? They hated Obama! They also hated Starbucks for not letting them use the bathroom.

You seem to like to go off on things that have no relevance to me or this topic. Why don't you keep your rants to yourself before you break your brain even further.

        February 13, 2013 at 12:29 pm |
      • John

Let's talk about Occupy first. Of course you do not want to discuss it. You clowns on the left supported those nuts. If I were you I wouldn't own up to it either. Those occupy nuts loved Obama and Pelosi and Reid because they openly supported "occupy". And, let us not forget the fake Indian from MA who claimed to provide Occupy with their "agenda".

You claim you do not support illegals. Then you admit you heard of "amnesty" for illegals later in your post and basicall say "that is what needs to happen?. If people are in this country illegally and certain "illegals" can no longer be deported what is that called? So, when we get through the garbage in your post we find you actually support illegals, but under a differnt word (amnesty). Typical lib double speak.
So, again, you are saying you never posted anything in support of occupy or illegals? My initial point is this. You are against legally owned business who follow laws and you can care less about the jobs that will be lost, in addition to freedoms you will lose? But you are ok letting in millions of illegals?

        February 13, 2013 at 1:09 pm |
      • DEcember 2012

Let's put this to bed, and hopefully you will follow suit because you need a nap, seriously.

Name one instance, one conversation we had here where I said anything about Occupy much less support them. Go ahead, make my day. You have the burden of proof here because you like to talk about them for some odd reason. For that matter, why don't you post any instance where Obama and his administration supported Occupy. I'll save you the trouble, they never did and the Occupy movement hated them for it. The Occupy movement had a point about the lack of responsibility in Wall Street but they were incoherent and were eventually just relegated as a nuisance. So don't act so shocked when people from the right and left rejected them. I for one had no opinion of them because I ignore fads.

Amnesty for illegals will happen. There is bipartisan support for it and it will happen. This is only part of the greater, and comprehensive reform of our immigration policies. Take it from someone who legally immigrated to this country, waiting many years for that green card, I do not like illegals but we have to do something about those who are already here and contributing to the economy. We also have to do the humane thing about the children who were brought here illegally through no fault of their own and give them the pathway to citizenship of the only country they know. We should also secure our borders and punish those who hire and exploit illegals, something the Reagan administration failed to do after enacting amnesties.

Let me know if you have any more questions about my actual opinions on these rather irrelevant topics before making them for me, kay?

        February 13, 2013 at 1:29 pm |
      • John

I asked several times what your opinion was and you did not answer directly until this last post.
ABC News, Oct. 18th, 2011 "The most important thing we can do right now is those of us in leadership letting people know that we understand their struggles and we are on their side, and we want to set up a system in which hard work, responsibility, doing what you're suppose to do, is rewarded. In some ways, they're not that different than some of the protests we saw from the Tea Party". It was nice of you to tell me you would same me the trouble of finding supportive comments from Obama about OWS people. Unfortunately for you, they exist. If you need more examples, just ask.
You called me "weird" in an earlier post. The weird thing is how you choose to support "our fearless leader" and do not seem to have a clue what he has supported.
If you are telling the truth about immigrating to this country how can you support people arriving here illegally and being put in front of people like you when you were waiting for approval? BTW, many members of my family waited and paid the price to enter this country through legal means. Can my family sue the government to get back the thousands we spent on LEGAL IMMIGRATION?
America put people on the moon, you think we can't resolve how to deport people over time if people wern't crossing the borders by the thousands every single day? As far as the kis go, parents make bad decisions every day that impact their children negatively.
BTW, you mention Regan? That was suppose to resolve the problem. It did not. Now we are doing it all over again. Those that do not remenber the past are doomed to repeat it.

        February 13, 2013 at 3:00 pm |
      • DEcember 2012

Wow, the best thing you can come up with is 'supportive' comments is him saying we hear you and comparing them to the Tea Party?? Tell me more! Seriously, your obsession with Occupy is becoming hilarious. Did a protester knock down your latte while you were on your way to work? Please tell us more.

You are weird for calling him 'our fearless leader' because nobody calls him that, ever. You perpetuate these myths in your head and repeat them here like they are some kind of religion we adhere to. Next time, just keep them in your head. It will make you sound less crazy.

I suppose it takes an immigrant to understand other immigrants, whether they are here legally or not. I do not like them for taking the easier way in, but I understand they came here probably for the same reasons. Am I angry at them for it? Sure, but I see reality as it is. Because America put people on the moon, we should be able to resolve our immigration problem in a comprehensive manner, secure our borders, punish those who hire and exploit illegal immigrants, and provide a pathway to citizenship those who are deserving among them. We are already deporting more illegals now than ever before but that hasn't solved anything. Reagan failed to commit to a comprehensive approach which is why he failed.

Pre school for 4 year olds is not necessary and is a waste of taxpayer money. Even kindergarten is not necessary. A child who completes pre school (and then kindergarten), is no more intellegent, versed or capable at the end of first grade than the child who only started school in first grade.

Seriously CNN you can't spell the name of the town correctly? Forget all the issues people, be upset that a major news organization is so eager to just pump out stories that no one could thinkk to put the letter E in for the propper spelling of Asheville, NC. And you wonder why we hear so many changing stories on major issues and events. If no one is taking an extra 5 seconds to double check even spelling, what makes you think they are taking the time to check facts.

the left supports illegals out of political and economic necessity. Ask pelosi how her constituency exploited illegals in CA and now act as though they are their best friends. Think a moment about obama's proposed hike in the min wage...now if that is not a marxist trap I don't know what is... Min wage was never meant to support anyone...ANYONE! Just like SS was never meant to support a retirement...these federal programs are now used as political leverage.

The majority of American people wish President Obama well. It is so sad that the majority in the old Confederacy still have not gotten aboard the progressive bandwagon and want a reactionary world. Haven't the Republicans seen the movie Pleasantville. The 1950s are over. The demographics of the country have changed forever. Blacks are 14 percent of the vote, Gays are 6 percent of the national vote and just guess what the Hispanic vote count is roughly 16 percent. Republicans the world is getting smaller.

you should study real history. The south were all for freeing the slaves on a systematic basis as was done in europe without war. Lincoln mistreated the south and he was an extremely successful attorney advance by the robber barons (railroaders and etc.) and advanced their agenda and their agenda was to tax and exploit the south for monetary gain. Lincoln and his wealthy supporters cost this country over 600,000 lives...horrible. But then 'john the historian' you need to learn to read to know all of this. Time to get off the racism wagon...America knows better!
