Obama to Walter Reed

Washington (CNN) - President Obama will have a closed meeting this morning at the White House before traveling to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at 2 p.m. this afternoon. At 5:00 p.m. he and Vice President Biden will meet with newly instated Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in the Oval Office. Hagel, who was confirmed to the position by the Senate Tuesday, was at the White House Monday for Obama’s first cabinet meeting of his second term.

Official White House schedule:

10:15 a.m.: Obama and Biden receive daily briefing (Oval Office, closed press)
11:00 a.m.: Obama meets with senior advisers (Oval Office, closed press)
12:45 p.m.: Press Briefing by Press Secretary Jay Carney
2:05 p.m.: Obama departs White House en route Bethesda, Maryland (South Lawn, open press)
2:20 p.m.: Obama arrives Bethesda, MD (In-town travel pool coverage)
2:35 p.m.: Obama visits Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Closed press)
4:10 p.m.: Obama departs Bethesda, MD en route the White House (In-town travel pool coverage)
4:25 p.m.: Obama arrives at White House (Open press)
5:00 p.m.: Obama and Biden meet with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel (Oval Office, closed press)

      These "Washington 500" still are not getting it. This problem is much bigger than Obama, but he is a big part of the current problem given his position.

    This president regularly visits Walter Reed. It is a great gesture on the presidents part to find the time to do this on a regular basis.

      funny how he always shows up with cameras....while he sells out to the russians by killing the eastern european missile defense system as promised on the mic affair....of course the headlines read we are bolstering defenses agains north korea...yeah right, north korea is NO threat and any fool knows that. The sell out of america continues, you suckers!

    The White House says North Korea's government should be focused on the well-being of its citizens, not on "celebrity sporting events" to entertain the country's elite. maybe he should run around with clooney, jay-z etc, what a hypocrite !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      You do have to admit, Obama fundraising with celebrities and giving them tax breaks at times (that and NASCAR) is different than Kim Jong Un starving his people while he hangs out with a "star" or "celebrity" (if you can call Rodman that. But I agree, Obama does like to waste time making him self cool campaigning with his celebrity friends
