The president's week ahead

Washington (CNN) - President Obama arrived back at the White House Sunday afternoon, concluding a 10-day, four country, round-the-world trip to India and the Far East.  The president returns to Washington on the same day that a wave of newly-elected Republican Congressional candidates arrived in the city to start a week of freshman orientation sessions on Capitol Hill.

The president faces a far different political landscape in Washington this week as he turns his focus back to domestic issues and a lame-duck Congress.  Among the highlights of the president's week ahead: on Thursday he will hold a meeting with bipartisan Congressional leadership at the White House, including future Speaker of the House, Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio).
